Why Should You Tell Your Story?
Most of the stories worth telling never get written down. Not because they don't matter but because life moves fast, and there never seems to be a right moment to sit down and capture it.
Until one day, you realise you can't quite remember the way your grandmother told that story. Or your child is growing up faster than you expected. Or you find yourself wanting to leave something behind that goes deeper than a photograph.
That's where we come in.
Tell Our Story is a ghostwriting and narrative design studio. We help families, individuals, and organisations capture the real stuff, the values, the voices, the small moments that shaped everything and turn them into memoirs, personalised children's books, legacy narratives, and written story art you can hold, share, and return to.

1. You Share, We Listen - We begin with a relaxed conversation, about your life, your child, your memories, the moments you don't want to lose.
2. We Shape the Narrative - Using narrative design and professional ghostwriting, we take what you've shared and craft it into something that sounds like you, not like a book report. The voice, the warmth, the specific details that make it true.

Hi, I'm Jackie Chikambure, founder of Tell Our Story, ghostwriter, storyteller, and a mom who became slightly obsessed with making sure 'the good stuff' doesn't get forgotten.
Becoming a mother changed everything. Suddenly, I was reading bedtime stories that didn't quite capture the extraordinary little boy sitting in my lap. So I did what any completely normal person would do —
I wrote him one.
That first story opened something up in me. I realised it wasn't just children who deserved to see themselves on the page. It was all of us. The grandmother whose recipes everyone loves. The family with a lifetime of traditions living only in conversation. The child growing up faster than anyone was ready for...
Tell Our Story was born from that realisation.
My studio is dedicated to the messy, quiet, beautiful truth of real life because that is the only story worth telling.
I don't write content. I don't do polished and perfect. I sit with you, we find the thread, and I write something that actually sounds like the life you lived.
